EDITOR'S NOTES
This dispatch is coming to you from mid Wales, green and beautiful, where we are enjoying what is laughingly referred to as “midsummer”. A couple of nights ago it was down to a heady 1 C, with cold and rain very evident-until yesterday, when we entered 2 days of sheer bliss. But it won’t last, they say cheerfully, so what else is worrying the Brits?
Well, there is The Complete Fiasco over London Olympics ticket sales (footie in SA was perfect in comparison), the problem of lots of old red post boxes being dug out of village walls and sold to the US on eBay, and of course the certainty that Andy Murray will win Wimbledon. Nothing else of consequence really, except I did miss a train after the platform announcements were given in Welsh.
General news seems remarkably similar to that in SA, except that we are way better placed financially. Pictures of Michelle Obama with Madiba were very prominent, otherwise, happily, there is nothing much said or written about our corner of Africa.
See you soon

Welcome to new member Paul Paley, Director, Found Travel Portfolio, who was inducted at our May meeting
BRANDING

The corporate BRANDING sales are going very well-the concept allows members to promote themselves at a low cost while helping to keep general subs down, so its all good. But, to make it successful, sponsors will need your support. Lunches are available right now for R1500 each-what a BARGAIN!!!
